BurgerFi at 1902 S. University Drive describes itself as a burger joint for the Tower Shops area. Its page says it uses natural Angus beef raised without steroids, antibiotics or growth hormones, cuts its fries by hand and makes a quinoa-based veggie burger.

Char-Hut on State Road 84 is family owned and has charbroiled its burgers since 1976, when the first one opened in an old Royal Castle in North Miami, its site says. Burgers are grilled to order in front of the customer, on a fresh-baked bun with a choice of 21 toppings. Orders are taken at the counter, for pickup or by delivery.

McDonald’s has four stores inside the town limits: on Weston Road, on Nova Drive and two on State Road 84. Each has its own page on the chain’s restaurant locator.

Monster Burgers at 2325 S. University Drive describes itself as Colombian fast food. Its menu centers on a half-pound burger topped with bacon, mozzarella and crushed potato chips, plus smash burgers, and it brings a food truck to private events. Its site lists Monday to Thursday hours clearly; call for the weekend.

Steak ‘n Shake at 5790 S. University Drive, near Stirling Road, serves steakburgers and fries cooked in beef tallow and keeps some of the latest hours on this list.
