Barbecue in Davie is spread across the town. South University Drive has two, one near the Tower Shops and one near Stirling Road. The others are on Weston Road in the west, on Stirling Road in the south and on Griffin Road. Two are counter-service chains, one is a South Florida name that goes back to 1951 and one is a bar and grill.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Davie’s town limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 8, 2026. We added the Weston Road Mission BBQ, Southern Luv BBQ and Uncle Al’s from the state’s restaurant inspection records and their own websites, and we checked every address against the town limits. A Korean barbecue restaurant on Stirling Road with a Davie mailing address gives a Hollywood address on its own site, so it is not here. The list is alphabetical. Mission BBQ has two restaurants in Davie, one on South University Drive near the Tower Shops and one on Weston Road. Both list the same hours, online ordering and a catering menu, and the chain’s pages say it closes on eight major holidays and closes early six days a year.

Shorty’s Bar-B-Q on South University Drive near Stirling Road is the Davie branch of a Miami barbecue name that says it has served South Florida since 1951, with two more restaurants in South Miami and West Miami. The Davie menu lists brisket, baby back ribs and burnt ends, which it says are available in limited amounts each day. It takes orders for takeout and delivery and caters.

Southern Luv BBQ at 6819 Stirling Road is the first Davie restaurant of a Tampa barbecue business that smokes its meats over pecan wood, according to its site. It is a fast-casual counter where diners order at the counter or call ahead. Its Davie page says it is open now and lists a grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Uncle Al’s on Griffin Road is a bar and grill that says it has served barbecue, seafood, burgers and wings since 1979. Its weekly specials include full racks of ribs, and the bar has pool tables and arcade games. It closes on July Fourth, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
