New Horizon UMC's pumpkin patch on Flamingo Road is open 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily through Saturday, Oct. 31. Free entry; sales fund missions.

There are two days left to pick a pumpkin at New Horizon United Methodist Church, just south of Davie on Flamingo Road. The church’s pumpkin patch is open from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today, Friday, and Saturday, Oct. 31, and then it closes for the year.

The patch is at the church, 5741 S. Flamingo Road in Southwest Ranches, across from the Countryside Shops at Stirling and Flamingo roads. It is free to walk around, and the pumpkins are for sale.

Church volunteers run it, and the church says “every sale supports the church’s missions.” The patch opened on Oct. 10, according to the church’s website, which has been asking for helpers through the season “greeting the community, selling pumpkins” and unloading the pumpkin trucks, with community service hours available to those who volunteered.
